"Longitude's The Last Anniversary is a full-length of sprightly, lengthy Midwest emo that should interest fans of this particular revival. Akin to Nines & Sixes-era Mock Orange, Polar Bear Club's demo, or Brooklyn locals the Marine Electric, the band combines a variety of vocal styles—gravelly, wavery, earnest—with deft, slightly noodly guitars." - punknews.org

Longitude in Rochester. I’d missed shows like this very much.

01/14/11 - Snowing, 1994!, Longitude, Marine Electric+

Caught the second half of the show. I don’t remember much but I remember it being awesome.

Our tour with Beach Parade went really well, and despite some unfortunate events (mostly to the van…), they weren’t enough to bring us down, they just cancelled some shows…
But yeah, we just got around to putting a few pictures up (in the post below) but hopefully some more will surface soon. Touring is always fun, but when its with some of the most talented people you know, touring becomes even more fun. Not only were we lucky enough to hang out with our friends for a few days, but we also got to play with some amazing bands. Check out Johnny Lucas, Beach Parade, Mouth to Mouth to Mouth, SIRS, Farnsworth, Cattle Drums, Athletics, Turbines, The Marine Electric, 1994!, Censors, Snowing, Pretty Bullshit, and Womyn Boiz.

Band: Longitude

Band Location: Fredonia, New York

Band Bio: Longitude started in the fall of 2006 with one member who is no longer with us. Our first show was a pirates vs. ninjas party, followed closely by attic recordings. After that, we exhausted our small college town through house shows, recording projects, and hating Spectrum. Some of us live in the same house and sometimes shows happen in it.

Why we like it: HEY GUYS ZACH HERE! Weather in Arizona today was really nice but it got a little colder near the end of the night!!! This band’s name is Longitude and Gio saw them last night!!!! I BET IT WAS PRETTY COLD OVER THERE ON ACCOUNT OF IT’S THE SNOWPOCALYPSE AND EVERYTHING, LOL! He said they were awesome and I should blog them so here you guys go!! I’ve been listening through their album which they offer for free on their Bandcamp (COOL!) and it’s great. I think it’s crazy how I have never heard of them!!!! Seriously though, check these guys out, they’re really good.

Red Saints

i would follow my scars like maps but there’s no going back to that. so i’ll just cross walks on intersecting blocks, with each step i’ll disassemble. sometimes it feels like the smoke hangs over my head like a ghost. i spent the last day of summer alone wishing i could re-learn you, realized i couldn’t on my own. i’m on my own. we were sitting in a circle shooting the shit about dying young and what that meant to us. said you have to wake up no matter what because you can’t live your dreams if you live like you’re asleep. so i shouldn’t be worried if sometimes it feels like your ghost lives inside my lungs like the smoke. i spent the last night of summer surrounded, i finally found it, my thoughts are grounded, i am home. im not alone.

Hey! Our friend Scott’s new band just posted a demo! The band is called Living Room, follow em and check out “Red Saints”.
